Brechin picked up their first home win of the season with an impressive 4-0 victory over Alloa.
Brechin made all the early running, and in the seventh minute a Scott Walker header forced a fine save from Gary McGlynn. From the corner, Walker had another header cleared off the line by Alloa's Richard Walker.
The opening goal was only a matter of time, and in the eighth minute Paul Ritchie headed home a Charlie King corner to give them the lead.
It was 2-0 on 18 minutes when King played the ball through for Graeme Gibson to run in and score.
Brechin looked for more goals, and after 37 minutes McGlynn had to save from Kevin McLeish.
In first half stoppage time Brechin added a third goal when McLeish picked up a loose ball 25 yards out and hammered his shot into the top corner.
Alloa tried to hit back in the second half, and on 54 minutes Andrew Brown had a header well saved by Craig Nelson.
Brechin completed the scoring ten minutes from time. James Smith headed the ball forward and substitute Steven Hampshire ran in to score.
Brechin went back on the attack, and when Gibson cut the ball back to Ritchie it took a saving tackle from Michael McDermott to prevent a certain goal.
